What is Ukraine for me ?
What is Ukraine for
me? It’s the land of glorious Cossacks, lullaby songs of my Mother, father`s life lessons and simply the
place I was born and love the most. How can’t I love all this bewitching nature,
hospitable people or great history? 
Since ancient times, Ukraine has been famous for its outstanding people.
I believe, the Ukrainians should understand
that they live in the country, where such famous people, as Volodymyr the Great, Bohdan Khmelnytsky,
Hryhorii Skovoroda or Taras Shevchenko contributed to its history. We should be
proud that we are descendants of these great men. As for history, Kieavan Rus was known for
quick-witted and unsurpassed princes and Getmanshchina made a significant
contribution to the development of our state. 
Ukraine is the country of big possibilities. Our nation is patriotic,
courageous, bold and invincible. Since ancient times, various empires have
always wanted to leave us freedom, but we fought for independence and overcome
a hard way to glory. Now, I believe in courageous Ukrainian nation. I was
excited and greatly impressed when hundreds of people went to Euromaidan and
defended their dignity. It’s was awful when people died there. I can
confidently say that “while the country has such sons and daughters, Ukraine
hasn’t died and will never die”!
Nowadays, we have bloody fratricidal war in
Donbas, where brave Ukrainian soldiers defend our lands. We live in a key historic
period. There is a question: “Will Ukraine be a successful European country or
not?”. This war hinders economic development and Ukraine’s accession to the EU.
I believe that all these reforms will take place and in the future we’ll live
in a prosperous country without any wars!
To crown it all, I would
like Ukraine to be the most developed country in the world. Together, we will
overcome all the hardships on the way to a better life!
